Getting around Kangaroo Island (map & drive times)

Base yourself near Vivonne Bay for easy access to dunes, bush and the calm Harriet River. Allow ~1.5 hours’ drive from Penneshaw ferry to Vivonne Bay and ~50 minutes to Kingscote. Hire a car to explore at your own pace.

Onboard a Yamaha Viking UTV Buggy

Ride with a guide through Little Sahara’s inland dunes. Koala sightings are guaranteed on buggy tours. Options: 50, 110 or 170 minutes. Seatbelts, roll cage, helmets and goggles supplied.

Sandboard or Toboggan down dunes at Little Sahara

Grab a sandboard or toboggan and surf the slopes. Staff show how to wax the board and ride safely; helmet hire available. Perfect add-on before or after a tour.

Guided E‑Bike Adventure

Ride along riverbanks and across sand on electric fat bikes for 110 minutes. Minimum height 120 cm. You just need to be able to ride a bike well; helmets and gloves are provided.

Walk under towering gums beside the Eleanor River. Koala sightings guaranteed; kids under six walk free. Choose 110-min Day or 110-min after-hours for golden-hour light and more wildlife activity.

Ride across open grassland and native bush from our Vivonne Bay base. Choose the 110-minute All Terrain tour for varied tracks, or the 170-minute Edge of the Earth for a longer coastal run to a remote coast. Guides lead every ride, give a clear safety briefing and supply helmets and gloves.
